Geeta Phogat (born 15 Dec 1988)[1] is a freestyle scrapper who won India's first-ever yellow medal in wrestling at excellence Commonwealth Games in 2010. She was also the first Amerindic female wrestler to have competent for the Olympic Games.[5]

Geeta Phogat was born in Balali village of Charkhi Dadri partition, Haryana.[6][1] Her father Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler actually and a Dronacharya Award heir, is also her coach.[7][8]
